ParametersRaisesReturns

All arguments are required, and can only be passed by position.

Parameters

implementation : function

Function that implements the operation on NumPy array without overrides when called like implementation(*args, **kwargs) .

public_api : function

Function exposed by NumPy's public API originally called like public_api(*args, **kwargs) on which arguments are now being checked.

relevant_args : iterable

Iterable of arguments to check for __array_function__ methods.

args : tuple

Arbitrary positional arguments originally passed into public_api .

kwargs : dict

Arbitrary keyword arguments originally passed into public_api .

Raises

TypeError : if no implementation is found.

Returns

Result from calling ``implementation()`` or an ``__array_function__``
method, as appropriate.

Implement a function with checks for __array_function__ overrides.

Examples

Local connectivity graph

Hover to see nodes names; edges to Self not shown, Caped at 50 nodes.

Using a canvas is more power efficient and can get hundred of nodes ; but does not allow hyperlinks; , arrows or text (beyond on hover)

SVG is more flexible but power hungry; and does not scale well to 50 + nodes.

All aboves nodes referred to, (or are referred from) current nodes; Edges from Self to other have been omitted (or all nodes would be connected to the central node "self" which is not useful). Nodes are colored by the library they belong to, and scaled with the number of references pointing them
