On import, the FontManager
singleton instance creates a list of ttf and afm fonts and caches their FontProperties
. The FontManager.findfont
method does a nearest neighbor search to find the font that most closely matches the specification. If no good enough match is found, the default font is returned.

Using a canvas is more power efficient and can get hundred of nodes ; but does not allow hyperlinks; , arrows or text (beyond on hover)
