matplotlib 3.5.1

Other ParametersParametersReturns
_set_ticklabels(self, labels, *, fontdict=None, minor=False, **kwargs)
warning

This method should only be used after fixing the tick positions using :None:None:`.Axis.set_ticks`. Otherwise, the labels may end up in unexpected positions.

Other Parameters

**kwargs : `~.text.Text` properties.

Parameters

labels : list of str

The label texts.

fontdict : dict, optional

A dictionary controlling the appearance of the ticklabels. The default fontdict is:

{'fontsize': rcParams['axes.titlesize'],
 'fontweight': rcParams['axes.titleweight'],
 'verticalalignment': 'baseline',
 'horizontalalignment': loc}
minor : bool, default: False

Whether to set the minor ticklabels rather than the major ones.

Returns

list of `.Text`

The labels.

Set this Axis' labels with list of string labels.

Examples

See :

Local connectivity graph

Hover to see nodes names; edges to Self not shown, Caped at 50 nodes.

Using a canvas is more power efficient and can get hundred of nodes ; but does not allow hyperlinks; , arrows or text (beyond on hover)

SVG is more flexible but power hungry; and does not scale well to 50 + nodes.

All aboves nodes referred to, (or are referred from) current nodes; Edges from Self to other have been omitted (or all nodes would be connected to the central node "self" which is not useful). Nodes are colored by the library they belong to, and scaled with the number of references pointing them
