_center_and_normalize_points(points)

The points are transformed in a two-step procedure that is expressed as a transformation matrix. The matrix of the resulting points is usually better conditioned than the matrix of the original points.

Center the image points, such that the new coordinate system has its origin at the centroid of the image points.

Normalize the image points, such that the mean distance from the points to the origin of the coordinate system is sqrt(2).

Parameters

points : (N, 2) array

The coordinates of the image points.

Returns

matrix : (3, 3) array

The transformation matrix to obtain the new points.

new_points : (N, 2) array

The transformed image points.

Center and normalize image points.

Local connectivity graph

Hover to see nodes names; edges to Self not shown, Caped at 50 nodes.

Using a canvas is more power efficient and can get hundred of nodes ; but does not allow hyperlinks; , arrows or text (beyond on hover)

SVG is more flexible but power hungry; and does not scale well to 50 + nodes.

All aboves nodes referred to, (or are referred from) current nodes; Edges from Self to other have been omitted (or all nodes would be connected to the central node "self" which is not useful). Nodes are colored by the library they belong to, and scaled with the number of references pointing them
