pandas 1.4.2

ParametersYields
walk(self, where='/')

This generator will yield the group path, subgroups and pandas object names for each group.

Any non-pandas PyTables objects that are not a group will be ignored.

The :None:None:`where` group itself is listed first (preorder), then each of its child groups (following an alphanumerical order) is also traversed, following the same procedure.

Parameters

where : str, default "/"

Group where to start walking.

Walk the pytables group hierarchy for pandas objects.

Yields

path : str

Full path to a group (without trailing '/').

groups : list

Names (strings) of the groups contained in :None:None:`path`.

leaves : list

Names (strings) of the pandas objects contained in :None:None:`path`.

Examples

Local connectivity graph

Hover to see nodes names; edges to Self not shown, Caped at 50 nodes.

Using a canvas is more power efficient and can get hundred of nodes ; but does not allow hyperlinks; , arrows or text (beyond on hover)

SVG is more flexible but power hungry; and does not scale well to 50 + nodes.

All aboves nodes referred to, (or are referred from) current nodes; Edges from Self to other have been omitted (or all nodes would be connected to the central node "self" which is not useful). Nodes are colored by the library they belong to, and scaled with the number of references pointing them
