warning

Pandas uses PyTables for reading and writing HDF5 files, which allows serializing object-dtype data with pickle when using the "fixed" format. Loading pickled data received from untrusted sources can be unsafe.

See: https://docs.python.org/3/library/pickle.html for more.

Parameters

key : str
column : str

The column of interest.

start : int or None, default None
stop : int or None, default None

Raises

raises KeyError if the column is not found (or key is not a valid

store)

raises ValueError if the column can not be extracted individually (it

is part of a data block)

return a single column from the table. This is generally only useful to select an indexable

Examples

See :

Local connectivity graph

Hover to see nodes names; edges to Self not shown, Caped at 50 nodes.

Using a canvas is more power efficient and can get hundred of nodes ; but does not allow hyperlinks; , arrows or text (beyond on hover)

SVG is more flexible but power hungry; and does not scale well to 50 + nodes.

All aboves nodes referred to, (or are referred from) current nodes; Edges from Self to other have been omitted (or all nodes would be connected to the central node "self" which is not useful). Nodes are colored by the library they belong to, and scaled with the number of references pointing them
