immediate_dominators(G, start)

Notes

Except for :None:None:`start`, the immediate dominators are the parents of their corresponding nodes in the dominator tree.

Parameters

G : a DiGraph or MultiDiGraph

The graph where dominance is to be computed.

start : node

The start node of dominance computation.

Raises

NetworkXNotImplemented

If G is undirected.

NetworkXError

If :None:None:`start` is not in G.

Returns

idom : dict keyed by nodes

A dict containing the immediate dominators of each node reachable from :None:None:`start`.

Returns the immediate dominators of all nodes of a directed graph.

Examples

>>> G = nx.DiGraph([(1, 2), (1, 3), (2, 5), (3, 4), (4, 5)])
... sorted(nx.immediate_dominators(G, 1).items()) [(1, 1), (2, 1), (3, 1), (4, 3), (5, 1)]

Using a canvas is more power efficient and can get hundred of nodes ; but does not allow hyperlinks; , arrows or text (beyond on hover)

SVG is more flexible but power hungry; and does not scale well to 50 + nodes.

All aboves nodes referred to, (or are referred from) current nodes; Edges from Self to other have been omitted (or all nodes would be connected to the central node "self" which is not useful). Nodes are colored by the library they belong to, and scaled with the number of references pointing them
