ParametersReturns
watch(thread_id=None, interval='20ms', cycle='2s', maxlen=1000, omit=None, stop=<function <lambda> at 0x0000000>)

This starts a new thread to watch a particular thread and returns a deque that holds periodic profile information.

Parameters

thread_id : int
interval : str

Time per sample

cycle : str

Time per refreshing to a new profile state

maxlen : int

Passed onto deque, maximum number of periods

omit : str

Don't include entries that start with this filename

stop : callable

Function to call to see if we should stop

Returns

deque

Gather profile information on a particular thread

Local connectivity graph

Hover to see nodes names; edges to Self not shown, Caped at 50 nodes.

Using a canvas is more power efficient and can get hundred of nodes ; but does not allow hyperlinks; , arrows or text (beyond on hover)

SVG is more flexible but power hungry; and does not scale well to 50 + nodes.

All aboves nodes referred to, (or are referred from) current nodes; Edges from Self to other have been omitted (or all nodes would be connected to the central node "self" which is not useful). Nodes are colored by the library they belong to, and scaled with the number of references pointing them
