format_exception(msg, *args, **kwargs)

try:

1/0

except:

raise ZeroDivisionError(

format_except('A divide by zero occurred in {filename} at '

'line {lineno} of function {func}.'))

Any additional positional or keyword arguments passed to this function are also used to format the message.

note

This uses :None:None:`sys.exc_info` to gather up the information needed to fill in the formatting arguments. Since :None:None:`sys.exc_info` is not carried outside a handled exception, it's not wise to use this outside of an except clause - if it is, this will substitute '<unknown>' for the 4 formatting arguments.

Given an exception message string, uses new-style formatting arguments {filename} , {lineno} , {func} and/or {text} to fill in information about the exception that occurred. For example:

Local connectivity graph

Hover to see nodes names; edges to Self not shown, Caped at 50 nodes.

Using a canvas is more power efficient and can get hundred of nodes ; but does not allow hyperlinks; , arrows or text (beyond on hover)

SVG is more flexible but power hungry; and does not scale well to 50 + nodes.

All aboves nodes referred to, (or are referred from) current nodes; Edges from Self to other have been omitted (or all nodes would be connected to the central node "self" which is not useful). Nodes are colored by the library they belong to, and scaled with the number of references pointing them
